The Norfolk Master Gardener Volunteers include Plant Doctors who set up booths at community events, such as Master Gardener plant sales, to provide answers to gardening questions from the public. The Doctor is now In at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens... Don't let your gardening dilemmas continue to grow ask the Plant Doctors. The Plant Doctor 2007 sessions will begin the third Saturday in March 2007 and run through October from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Fred Heutte Horticultural Library at the gardens.
We also operate a local Help Line, 683-2855, weekdays from 9 a.m. to noon, April 1 through Oct. 31. Residents of the Hampton Roads, VA region can call to request gardening information. If you call when the Help Line isn’t staffed, leave a message on the answering machine and someone will get back to you as soon as possible.
